About Orion's Map
Orions map is built on a dream of connecting people to the small producers who work so damn hard to put on a good show. Anyone can find the big acts, but in this day, without monetization, who wants to support the little guy? Running a small venue can feel like a mountainous task at times, and in places like Vermont where I grew up, you just don't have a lot of people around. Hopefully we can shine a light on all this hard work and dedication, and make it easy for the community to find all the great things happening around them, all across the country.
Cheers!
Our Mission
Our goal is to surface every public event happening at every venue — not just the big headliners at major concert halls, but the open mics at coffee shops, the poetry readings at bookstores, the jazz nights at neighborhood bars, and the community events at local parks. Most events platforms focus on big-ticket shows at well-known venues. We focus on the long tail: the thousands of small venues where local culture actually lives.
How It Works
Orion's Map discovers venues through public business listings and maps, then monitors their websites for event schedules. Our automated pipeline checks venue websites daily to find new events, extract dates, times, ticket links, and descriptions. Each venue page on our site links back to the venue's official website so you can verify details and purchase tickets directly.

We are working very hard! And when I say we, it's really just me. I'm only one man, and I only have two hands. I look forward to the day of offering solid customer support, and having a team, but for now, please be patient. If you have questions, I will be setting up support lines as soon as I can both for users and venues who are looking to get hosted or correct information. Onward and upward!
Our Position on Ticketing
Orion's Map is not a ticketing platform, and we have no interest in becoming one. There are companies that do ticketing extremely well, and we'd rather send people their way than try to reinvent the wheel. When you find an event on our map, we link you directly to the venue or the ticketing platform handling that show. The click goes to them, the sale goes to them, the relationship stays between them and the attendee.
We see ourselves as a complement to existing platforms, not a competitor. Ticketing services, venue websites, promoters, local calendars — they all do important work. What's been missing is a single place where someone can see everything happening around them at once, especially at the smaller venues that don't always show up on the big platforms. That's the gap we fill.
If you run a ticketing platform, a venue listing service, or a local events calendar — we'd love to work with you. More visibility for events is good for everyone: venues sell more tickets, audiences find more shows, and platforms see more traffic. We're open to partnerships, data sharing, and affiliate relationships that put more people in more seats.
